“The quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life” – Ester Perel
Offerings and Approach
I offer early morning and evening sessions both in-person and through telehealth.
I work with couples drawing from a variety of influences using modalities tailored to your needs and sensibilities —I support you in your work to expanded self-awareness and ultimately heal and flourish.
I believe that in intimate relationships (not limited to romantic relationships), we give each other passports to our internal landscapes. Each of our landscapes are as unique as the histories that shape us. We can forget each of us are governed by different weather patterns and can look to blame, punish and try to prove we are “right”.
Like individuals, couples have developmental stages too. I help couples grow from the first phase (looking to “win”) where couples operate as two “one person systems” leading to insecure functioning; and move to the second phase of development where couples have greater self-awareness, operate as a “two-person system”, with secure functioning, and have learned more about the internal landscapes in order to welcome the mystery, the unbidden.
I am influenced by Sue Johnson (Emotionally Focused Therapy), Stan Tatkin (a psychobiological approach) and Ester Perel (narrative therapy).
About Me
I feel it is a great honor to get to work with each of my clients. It’s through my own journey of healing and growth that I have realized the possibility of forging a more meaningful and satisfying life. I would like to share that possibility with you.
I graduated of the California Institute for Integral Studies with a Master’s in Integral Counseling Psychology. I also hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) and have worked as an epidemiologist in international health as well as in social impact design – translating data for urban designers and planners to design healthy cities.
In my time away from the therapy space, I like to travel, read, hike, garden, cook, and star-gaze.
